Mary Cole is a native of Rochester NY and is the owner of Trinity Performing Arts Studio. Suny Purchase is where she graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. She began her dance training at a young age in different styles of dance including ballet, tap, jazz, modern, hip-hop, lyrical, contemporary and Puerto Rican folkloric. Mary studied at several dance schools and was a member of Borinquen Dance Theatre. She was a competitive dancer and received many awards throughout the years. In addition to her training she has opened up for several National R&B Artists such as Silk, Montell Jordan and more. In New York City she continued her dancing career and formed a Dance Troup. Mary was a dance instructor at PCC Dance Studio and was a part of creating a successful program, and started the competitive dance team. Her choreography and dancers have received Overall High Score at competition.
Mary also has a passion for theatre and has been involved in a variety of musicals and shows in Rochester and New York City. She was an instructor for Drama Kids International and worked out of the Pittsford Mendon School District. Mary has written and directed a variety of "Shows," in Upstate New York, and completed several Productions at Joy Community Church; where she served as the Director of the Theatre and Dance Program. In 2017 she established the Star Theatre Program at Phelps Community Center and was the director over the workshops, performance camps and all of the PCC Community Theatre events. Mary has a passion for Performing Arts and is thankful to God for giving her the opportunity to share the arts with the next generation.
Keziah Shaw is an instructor at Trinity Performing Arts Studio and has a deep love for dance, and has trained in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, lyrical and hip-hop. Her favorite genre of dance is contemporary and she enjoys mixing her passion for dance with her love of theatre through expressive and interpretive style of dance. Keziah continues her dance education to provide her students with well rounded training in technique and musicality. She has competed in several competitions and has recieved overall high score, and continues to compete.
Ms. Melissa began teaching ballet, tap, jazz and tumbling at Dance With Me Arts Academy in 2017. She was a recreational dancer as a young child, a competitive cheerleader for 10 years, and a gymnast for 4 years. Melissa has always had a passion for the arts, performing in musicals and playing piano for many years.
Melissa began coaching tumbling in 2005, and began dancing again as an adult in 2016. As a serious adult dancer, she focused primarily on ballet, pointe work, and learning how to write choreography. During her time at DWM, Melissa performed in several full length ballets.
Melissa spent 5 years as a costume director, and was the backstage manager in a handful of full length ballet productions.
Currently, Melissa dances for Tournesol Dance Studio in Rochester where she continues to learn and improve her own technique in order to become a better dancer, as well as a better teacher.
Melissa can be seen performing with the Rochester Adult Ballet Company in their annual production of Nightmare Before Christmas.
Melissa absolutely loves dancing and teaching dance. Ballet is a passion for her that only grows stronger with every year.
Melissa is very excited to continue her teaching journey at Trinity Performing Arts Studio!
Talmadge grew up in the Rochester, NY area and trained at various dance schools from kindergarten through high school. She has been dancing for over 20 years. After a long hiatus and being unable to find quality adult classes, she returned to dance in 2017. In 2019 she performed a full length production of the Nutcracker with the Wayne County Youth Ballet, in rolls as a party parent, Snow, and Waltz of the Flowers. She continues to still train in ballet locally at Tournesol Dance, where she has also worked as an instructor.
When she’s not dancing, Talmadge is a visual artist and holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Visual Studies Workshop in Rochester. She has been selected for artist residencies and her work has been shown in both local and national art shows and galleries.
Emily Morse is 24 years old and has been dancing her whole life. She has a chemistry degree but dance and theatre are where her heart lies. She especially loves tap, jazz and musical theatre. Emily danced at Armstrong School of Dance growing up and was a competitive dancer for many years. She went on to choreograph a couple musicals in college as well as TA for a dance class. Dancing is a huge part of her life and always will be. In her spare time Emily is also a ski coach.
Kellie Marino was born and raised in the Finger Lakes Region of Upstate NY. She is licensed in nail technology and taught the NYS Nail Technician program at Wayne Finger Lakes BOCES. As an entrepreneur, she went on to open her own full service salon and spa wellness center for several years. She loves all things artistic and has a strong background in teaching/dancing Argentine Tango. She is a writer, painter, archer, Taekwondo martial artist. She loves to paint, garden, do pottery, sewing, and going to the gym. She has worked as a props Master for the past six years making, building, and acquiring props and stage materials. She has also helped with costumes and makeup. She brings with her a fondness for working with the teachers, actors and directors and making sure they have everything they need. She is excited to be joining Trinity Performing Arts Studio as administrative assistant/props master for musical theatre and being a part of their growing and advancing team.
Amelia Jussen has 9 years of gymnastics experience.She took classes at Bright Raven Gymnastics and moved on to the College of Brockport and continued classes there. She has enjoyed years of tumbling and is very advanced in her skills. She spent a few years competing and a few years learning a couple of self taught skills.
Becky Holtz holds a BA in Theatre from Nazareth University. Since graduating, she has worked as an actor, dancer, costume crafter, stagehand, and arts educator for a variety of entertainment companies including Geva Theatre, Eastman Opera Theatre, and Garth Fagan Dance. Her deep love of both learning and movement have lead her to study a variety of dance forms & circus arts throughout her life; including ballet, jazz, tap, ballroom, bellydancing, pole, yoga, and aerial silks. Presently, she studies ballet at Tournesol Dance, and aerial sling at Roc City Circus. She is also a published model, and has had her work featured in gallery shows at Flower City Arts Center, Anderson Alley, and Image City Photography. Outside of the world of entertainment, Becky has found great joy as an early childhood educator. She is delighted to be joining the TPAS team, and getting to share her love of dancing with a new generation.
